PROGRAM

1^st Day

Arrive and transfer in a mountain refuge at 1700 mt a.l.s. Tour presentation and dinner

2^nd Day

Etna High Mountain Track Km  5+37*(3+23* mil appr.)

(difference in altitude mt.736)

Excursion in the Etna Park along the track that goes in altitude from south to north around the volcano. Arrive and dinner at the hotel in Linguaglossa Pine Wood (see hotel's photo)

3^rd Day

Linguaglossa Pine Wood-Randazzo km 48+12*(30+7,5*mil appr.)
(difference in altitude mt.712)
Second excursion in the Etna Park. Visit at the 2002 eruption (laves, craters and vulcanic bombs). Continuation to Randazzo, medieval town.

4^th Day

Randazzo-Floresta-Randazzo km 4+35*(2,5+22*mil appr.)
(difference in altitude mt.608)
First excursion in the Mounts Nebrodi Park. From Randazzo to Floresta (1275 mt a.l.s.), the higher Sicily's town. The cheese (provola) produced here, it is famous in all island.
Return to the hotel in Randazzo and dinner.

5^th Day

Randazzo-Lake Trearie-Maniace-Randazzo km 26+36*
(16+22 mil appr.) (difference in altitude mt 680)
Second excursion in the Mounts Nebrodi Park, between woods and pastures in altitude. In Maniace visit at the Admiral Horace Nelson's Castle.
Return to the hotel in Randazzo and dinner.

6^th Day

Randazzo-Giardini Naxos km 48 (29 mil appr)
(difference in altitude mt 230 )
Between one of the best production zones of d.o.c. Etna wines.
Possibility of taste in an agricultural farm d.o.c. wines and local gastronomical specialities.

7^th Day

Giardini Naxos-Alcantara Gorges-Peloritani Mount-Taormina

Giardini Naxos km 49+7*(30+4* mil appr.)

(difference in altitude mt 1.228)

Day dedicated to the Alcantara River Park.
Visit at the famous "gorges". To Taormina between Mounts Peloritani.
Return in residence at Giardini Naxos.

8^th Day
Breakfast and Start.
